Agrisalumeria Luiset was started by Gino Casetta, known as Gino d’Luiset, who, after spending twenty years learning and perfecting the art of butchering hogs and curing meat, took the intrepid step of opening his own business in Ferrere. Agrisalumeria Luiset is a place where the two arts are combined to produce cold cuts and other pork products of the highest quality.

Gino’s story, along with that of his children, Chiara and Mauro, who today carry on the family tradition with pride, is that of a man who places great emphasis on raw materials. In fact, since the start, special attention has been paid to the animals’ well-being, and a blend of traditional methods and innovative technologies make it possible to offer a vast range of products that meet customers’ tastes. Luiset cured meats range from the most traditional to the more refined, like salami with truffles, or beer, or saffron. One of the latter that stands out particularly is the “Salame del Cordino Rosso” [salami with the red cord], typical of the Terre Alfieri hills, which is made with honey and Terre Alfieri DOCG Nebbiolo wine, expressing a deep bond with the local area and its traditions. What makes it special is the exclusive use of natural ingredients, a fundamental tenet of the company philosophy.
